EVIL IN DISGUISE

Chapter 5 *CONFUSION*

- How old is she? Sam thought of the education she was going to have. He and Sandra had planned big for her.

- She is five, said Sam.

- Al right, is there anyone you think can have done this to you? Someone that dislikes you, have threaten you, or anything alike? Sam almost only thought of Lydia as the question came, but he knew that he was a respected man in his community.
- No, he answered simply.

- Okay, Simpson. We will immediately report if we find out something more.
- Thanks, he said, and made a handshake with the policeman as he went inside his house. He walked straight into his own room and looked held up a picture of Lydia when she was three years old. She had brown and curly fledges and an adorable smile with some of her teeth’s missing, and her lovely blue eyes shone like diamonds. Memories flooded Sam’s brain, and he whispered silently to the picture. I will find you, Lydia, wherever you are.

Ring. Ring. Sam woke up. His cell phone at his night table rang with the Nokia theme. He figured that he had slept for a while, because he lay with the picture of Lydia on his stomach. With a tired sigh he laid away the picture, and grabbed the phone.

- Sam! It was the voice of Jim, and he sounded a bit desperate. - How are you? I heard about the kidnapping.
- You did? How? Sam asked surprised.
- The police chief told me, I was up there at the station today, after work, doing some lawyer business. I didn’t believe there would be people that would do things like that here in town.

- No, it’s not a good situation, said Sam.

– The police are investigating it now, so I hope we find her.
- Yes, me too. Hold me updated, will you? I liked that girl too, she is a real sunshine. Sunshine? How did he knew that I used to call her that? A coincidence, yes, it has to be.
- Yes, I will. See ya around.

- Sure that. Sam canceled the call with a click. No, he can’t have anything to do with this. He is my friend, he is Jim, my loyal friend .Sam tried squeeze the thought out of his head, he could not just start to think like this whenever there was someone that linked up a word in the reference with Lydia. He hoped he was not going crazy of not having Lydia by his side, he really hoped. Strong was his mind, he knew, but all mind’s can break. I can’t let evil thought’s break me.
As a great interference, his cell phone called again. He answered it.

- Simpson, you must come to the kindergarten immediately. We think we have a trace.
